SUPERINTENDENT DORELL MCCROERY, IYD PRESIDENT

Superintendent Dorell D. McCroery Sr. was born in Atlanta, Georgia to parents, Morris Armstrong Jr. and Mother LaShonda McCroery. It was evident at an early age that the hand of God was upon his life and that there was a special call on his future. At the early age of 8 he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and received the filling of the Holy Ghost at the age of 11.


On November 19, 2010 Supt. McCroery married the love of his life Calandria M. Thomas. With their union God has blessed them with four beautiful children Crystalynn, Dorell Jr., Chloe’ (deceased), and Cortnie’.


Superintendent McCroery graduated from B. E. Mays High School and attended Year Up Greater Atlanta where he received a Diploma in Technical Training. Supt. McCroery is currently enrolled online at University of the People (UoPeople) located in Pasadena, California where he is pursuing his Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. Supt. McCroery has been in ministry for 14 years and pastoring for 8 years.


In May 2010, Supt. McCroery established the Impact Empowerment Temple which is a proud member of the United Churches of God in Christ in the Ben Hills Community of Atlanta, Georgia by leading weekly Wednesday evening Bible Studies.

 

In addition to his pastoral responsibilities, Supt. McCroery serves in the Georgia Northeast Jurisdiction as an Assistant to Presiding Bishop Aaron B. Lackey Sr., as District Superintendent over a cluster of 5 churches named the Impact Fellowship District. In the February 2017 Call Meeting of the United Churches of God in Christ, Inc. he was appointed to the office of International President of The NEXT Generation Alliance of Young Senior Pastors and in March 2018 he was appointed Interim President of the International Youth Department. On July 20, 2018 during the General Assembly of the United Churches of God in Christ at the 38th Holy Convocation Supt. McCroery was officially Installed and Appointed as President of the International Youth Department for the United Churches of God in Christ, Inc.

 

Supt. McCroery also serves as an full-time Chaplin with the MARTA Police Department where he is assigned to the Central Precinct.


Supt. McCroery is also known as a great man of integrity and honor. No matter the accolades, he believes that a True Prophetic Ministry has to be birthed out of the apostolic ram. This is seeing, hearing, and speaking into lives which can cause a true deliverance ministry. Which he still believes and stands on today!
